Excellent use of dithering. I get this huge sense of nostalgia with this one.
The variety of textures make this piece so tactile! Great job!
omg so glad you like it!
And I'm totally voting for your piece!
The shading on the wall... it's totally great! Very nice piece overall, 4colors yay :)

@lucas irineu: thank you
@showtime Great minds think alike? ;)
@dpixel thank you
@DevinGG thanks, glad you like
@twingloxx thanks! It was inspiration of the moment. I thought, wait a minute, engraving artists made do with only black and white, why can't I use an engraving pattern to render the wall? Turns out I can
@Manupix thank you. I don't know if I can do anything about the body now, but I did edit the bars and I think they look better. My reference was my own window, and the wooden vertical planks on it are actually perceptually darker than the wall, which is showered in bounced light. These are black iron prison bars, it doesn't make sense that they'd be as translucent as beige prison walls. But the difference is too subtle I guess. Thanks again for the crit
Very nice and atmospheric.
Overdithering hides some subtle details, esp on the body.
Great shading, except the steel bars which I first read as holes in the wall. There is no reason for them to be darker than the surrounding wall (or for the wall to be brighter). The tear is a lovely focus for the piece.
So cool! Love all the little details and the pattern you used for the shading on the wall.
this looks great! and it's a funny coincidence, I was considering doing a piece about solitary confinement... but then ended up deciding against participating this week. : (
EDIT: I guess not much of a coincidence, but just saying!
;-; so sadddddddd
