Smooth and stylish! This stuff is rad and reminds me of Henk Niebord!
Holy crap i wish i could do bricks like that!!!!
But it does have a wierd perspective, while its part of the charm it got my eyes confused!
agreeing with skeddles, lovely and unique style
very well done, you're getting better every day!
@DawnBringer: 17 transparent colors? I reuploaded with indexed palette, still there?
Nice looking house...I like the reflection in the window. But the palette is a bit funky; huge colorcount, lottsa redundancies and there's 17 transparent colors.
Hi guys, thanks for the replies : D
Yep, the perspective is off in some places, it was a stylistic choice, a perspective that will occur many times during the game this house was designed for, inspired by views like the top view from jrpgs and such. So there's not any real depth perspective exept for parallax backgrounds (which I still have to pixel). I simply thought it wasn't bad enough to spoil the piece, but it seems I was wrong since many of you are complaining about it.
I'm sorry for that : (
@wish04: Yes, there's a little hearth, glad you found out : )
@Jim16: What do you mean with steps not having the same angle as the left wall? I think they have, could you explain that to me?
@Manupix: The background has not been pixelled yet, to be fair it still needs to be thought first. D: Also, the wip background I used to test the piece was actually a storm sky!
@All: Thanks again for comments and crits everyone : D
That is some lovely shading you've got there.
I see a little heart in there <.< >.>
If you have the steps at the same angle as that left wall I think it would make this more visually pleasing. Another thing is that I think the second ground layer should be slightly darker, just to make the floor tile pop that bit more.
That left wall makes a nice optical illusion :)
Only non-stylistic crit I can find is that the axe looks like it's floating. Lovely colours.
I love it. I agree that the perspective is off, but I will use this as inspiration in the future. Especially when pixelling wood.
perspective looks totally off on some parts, but very nice regardless.
Fantastic pixelling, but why the transparency? It happens to work well with the default PJ theme, gives a hint of a storm sky that I would like to see for real.
The roof beam on the right side is too straight.
I like this style! I'd love to see the inside!
