Since you aren't working on the game anymore, are these icons free for use by others? I'm wondering because I'm a hobbyist working on my own turn based RPG computer game, and your icons are the sort of thing I'm looking for.
I love the wide selection of both monsters and humans. The nudity is also tastefully done, reminding me of AD&D's first Monster Manual.
Wow that's a lot of little monsters! I like the figure in the second to bottom row-second to last most.
My favorite is the puppetmaster, they look quite amazing.
yes you are correct. While the game used the NES palette, it did not use NES restrictions. Sprites were instead restricted to 3 colors + black + transpancy for sprites, and 4 colors for tiles. I did this because it favored higher quality graphics while still closely resembling NES graphics.
Superb! My only nitpick is that they are 3 colors + black + transparency = 5 colours, whereas the NES could only handle 4 per sprite, so much of the black details and I guess all shadows would disappear if you changed transparency to black.
But the again, maybe you could achieve most of these with overlaid sprites, I dunno.
i really like the chest with tentacles coming out from it :)
I like these, they are all crisp and stick to the same style.
Personal favorite is the manfish.
check the enemies that come after the penguin and see if you can spot the batman references
I'm gonna save these to my desktop and have a proper look later in my graphics program (since the image is so large PJ has issues when zooming in) but they all look pretty good. By the way I noticed you made the same spelling error in your klaus thingy info. Palette has 1 l and 2 t's :)
They look great. Are they available for public use?
