oh i see. it was worth a try i suppose. given my hectic commission schedule i can't imagine i'll be refining this piece any time soon. so if it's rejected for it's oekakiness i completely understand :)

It's very good, but definitely "oekaki" rather than pixel art.
I can see this becoming pixel art though, if you were to clean up the roughness from all the places where you seem to have used a single pixel brush tool to scribble the lines. Otherwise there's just way too many areas where the pixels didn't get any individual attention.
I think it fits the subject. But then again, I'm not the right person to ask about scribbly stuff...
it's not about the program, it's about the approach. drawing in mspaint is not necessarily the same as pixelart in mspaint.
I appreciate the sentiment, but this is a bit too scribbly for the gallery.
