Fixed, some problems.
And I was aiming for more of a SNES feel i gues I failed ;(
But I love DOS games so it might be a good thing.
The colors remind me of old DOS, was that what you were trying to go for here?
Nah, i don't think the reflection stuff is that bad. Maybe two suggestions you could try: go up til white in the fire reflection, too, and make the white more dominant there (there is some white already at the border, but I think there should be more). Plus, it may look better, if the fire reflection ends/borders on a dark place, so don't go into medium blue right after the reflection is done. make the main light come mainly from left, and the reflection is still on the right. just a suggestion, as i said ;)
Thanks and I agree with Manupix, but I have no idea how to make the fire reflection look nice, any ways I see alot of you are mad at me beacause I didn't add a background, but actually I had a background but I didn't like the look of it.
wel anyways thanks for the replies, but i doubt I would ever fix these issues.
the new durex mascot, eh? i know contraception methods were a bit crude back in the days... but a helmet for a condom? ouch! :D anyway, though some issues should be resolved, it's nice to look at :).
I like that, lovely colors.
I think it needs a background, esp for the explosion which appears more as a swarm of solid blobs.
There are conflicting informations about the armor and sword: from the white / blue highlights, I understand them to be shiny metal (and I think that was your intention), but the dithering makes it look tarnished, and the orange / yellow highlights totally take the metal away (because they don't look like reflections at all).
The lighting is indeed very nice. One thing i might suggest is to make the either the sword or the helmet or some part of the armor a different hue form the rest or at least a bit of like rust or wear, so as to give the viewer a resting place for the eye amidst all the high contrast blue shades so to speak. very good overall
I love it. It looks really good, expecially the lighting created by the fireball. But it also looks strange... transparent almost, like he's made from some sort of selectivley reflective glass.
I like the metallic effect! Good Work!
