k, it'd take literaly 4-8 pixels to make the fin look exactly like yours. and you could use your colors.  you should still kill the banding

Though I appreciate your input, I actually think that the high contrast on your edit is considerably more distracting than the banding itself was. Also, your removal of pixels from the fins threw off the overall shape a bit.
