I like the way you chose to render the lightning. With only a slight difference in texture, you made the body of the Minotaur look smooth and solid and the lightning look fast and jagged.
Good work!
Thanks for the c&c everyone. :)
@Dwimori. Yeah the veins aren't quite right I'll see what I can do. :)
@Delicious. Its always great hearing other peoples critique on my work. I've looked at this image for so long I don't notice most of its flaws any more, the perspective issues being one of them. I'll have a go at fixing these issues at some point.
@Imagician. Getting the rounded look on the legs was a challenge, but I have some ideas on how to fix it. ;)
Monumental piece. And minotaur with changed palette was reminded me Spartan by Helm.
Wow, expert level perfection. Very great use of such a small amount of colors. Best use of eight colors I've seen in a long time.
woah, the dithering is sick (and quite perfectly employed ;)). only thing is, the overall shading on the fur-legs and scrotch is a bit missing, making them look a little flat instead of round. try a second light source for additional impressiveness next time (e.g. making use of the blue lightning ;)
Very good job on this. A bit of issues regarding perspective, but it's wonderful regardless.
I really like the dithering style used here. And the scanline-like shading on the lightning. And the colors. Nice job, all round.
Very nice, colours well used, and dithering well done. Only crit is that the veins look wierd, almost like they have a sharp peak. They kind of take away from the piece. But wow, huge canvas, I've yet to tackle something this big.
nice dithering
