Some of the dithering on the wing is transparent which needs fixing, and the fingers of the wing need some AA. And the bottom of the egg needs rounding off and the top a bit too. Otherwise nice work :)
Okay, addressing things a point at a time.
-When things hatch or are born a lot of times you see some sliminess. As I drew it I couldn't help but think about how it looked like sparkly cum dribbles... The individual colors were just to make it look sparkly.
-I know, but I posted it really early in the morning and I didn't know where I had a pic of the egg. Because I was entering it in an art contest at an anime con (the fake plate on it said "CLAMP"; a tribute to Angelic Layer) I didn't have time to get it fired before I painted it. I about destroyed some other peoples' work when it was fired because the acrylics did something strange with the heat in the kiln. I didn't get a chance to repaint it after firing and now my friend in another state has it. If I find one, I'll add a pic of the egg here later, 'kay? ^_^
-Thanks guys! It was just something I threw together really quick; maybe an hour and a half concept to finish.
This looks great, although I don't see the point of the multicolored ooze coming out. I didn't notice the colours untill I zoomed in.
Also, you can't talk about how hawt your ceramic egg was without posting pictures. That's just rude.
I optimized the colors of the wing for my white (simple theme) background, but with something so pale I guess it won't make much of a difference in the end if I go ahead and fill those few pixels in.
I'll try to get around to fixing the top/bottom and fingers.
Thank you for the feedback! I'm still getting used to using that dithering style. ^_^
