If you don't want your work critiqued, then don't submit it. PJ is a crit-friendly zone. I'm sorry we didn't praise you, you can submit it to dA if all you're looking for is ass-pats. Constructive criticism is only negative if you have a bad attitude about it and take it as a personal attack.
The reason wasn't miscellaneous, it was quality standards. But there aren't any quality issues here, right? We're just critical assholes and everything's perfect. And if it isn't perfect, we're only allowed to mention the good things.
Funny how it was instally removed... Proves you people are A-holes man. You don't get it how your picky self wants it, you remove it.
Nice.
System states:
"REASON: We're sorry to inform you that your submission does not meet our quality standards or the art needs revision for some *miscellaneous* reason."
That is prove enough.
Detailed critic wanted is nowhere around the work or written that is desired nor needed... So I guess that should answer part of your posted reply. For the rest of the sites I have posted it on, people have given me positive feed backs. This is the only site that has given me any negative ones. And I'm not acting as if I am under attack... I'm just answering your question.
And so since this is the only site that has given me negative feed backs (from just one person, wish others would come on and confirm "your" thoughts about the artwork - and they can't be your friends) my statement stands as this being the pickest site to upload images around. You talk highly and actually believe what you say.
banding is evident from 1x. you're behaving as if you're being attacked. this is constructive criticism. the idea behind a site like PJ is that members want to learn how to improve the quality of their pixel technique.
denying any problems with a piece and rejecting legitimate critique is a mindset harmful to artistic growth.
As it stands, your pieces have a high negative rating in the queue, meaning members don't feel this is ready for the gallery. this is likely due to pixel tech (primarily banding, shading, and mixed resolutions)
Pixel arts weren't ment to be judged zoomed in man. And the fireball thing is called a force. I created a much better and more detailed version and it was denied because it was said to have "too many colors". I guess you people are just picky as hell... Seriously, relax.
the fireball thing? 2x pixels. the legs coming out of it? 1x. =mixed resolutions
banding is everywhere. in the fireball, as well as following all of the outlines on both ships
Banding?... Mixed resoultions?.. You are offically blind man.
The only good things you guys consider are pixel art with 500+ colors. The truth behind pixel arts is making images with the lowers number of colors possible, not the opposite. In DA one can ask for just as constructive criticism just like one can ask for it here. DA has 1,000x more members then this site and people with real skills. Talking crap about DA only makes you look as if your site is the only high and might over all else, which makes you look like, how you said, an asshole. You don't see them talking smack about you guys. else. But if people had to choose between posting here or there, you know they are going to go over there.
