Swords look too round try doing it more sharp, and I didn't liked the axes
You're getting there. but the darkest shades on the silver still seem a bit low on contrast. In any case, it would be a good idea to sprite some new stuff and see how you do unless you want to further refine these.
This might just be my personal preference, but I think on smaller sprites, it's better to use more contrast to make the shades more defined from afar. That way the depth you are trying to portray is more noticeable. In this case, I still think you can up the contrast by using some darker shades, mainly on the silver weapons.
I had tried to add a shadow on top of the hilt, I now realise that that is a bad idea.
Is it better now?
Much, much better. I'd still take a look at the swords' hilts, tho. :P Their shading seem wierd.
Thanks, I tried to fix it, you're right about the gradient thing, how's my edit?
Looks somewhat gradient. Using some more contrast and playing with the shading would help a lot like the previous commenter's example.
Very cool style. It's simple but great. I agree with philippe about the axes. The axe-head, or the part where the blade is, looks a little strange. It doesn't look like it's sharp, but it looks a little blunt.
