Looking closely at the mockups in my editor, I'm really blown away by the use of color. I've never seen anything like it. Unbelievable.
The pallete is absolutely exelent. Also the mockups. :D
what happen if you turn your 16 colors into 32 colors ? that would be more fun to play with ! XD
by the way going to use this for my small project.
Amazing work and all your palette effort really shows. Huge thanks for the forum link, saved on my pc to my Tutorials folder!
up left: platform
up right: shooter HD
down left: brick destroyer
down right: RPG
4 categories of games.
16 colors! OMG. I'm depressed now Just kidding! Great job. Great palette! Grate mockups! And yes, I wanna play this games too
Same palette for all? Impressive! Maybe the ultimate palette! :)
Nice work! Still haven't gotten around to actually trying to use the palette.
That fish in forst mock looks kinda familiar ;D
Can't say I'm that fond of the palette (I find quite a few of the colors very unappealing) but I do like the mock ups.
Awesome as always. Loving the top right, I'm sure you know why :P
When I look at the palette and then look at the mock-ups, I still can't believe they all use the same colours. Mindblowing work on the colours, that's for sure. Oh, and kick-ass mock-ups on top of that.
Great job demonstrating the versatility of your palette! Each of these mockups looks fully realized and playable. I also like the way the trees spring from the frame of the fourth image.
Ahhh! Your palettes are too amazing! Bottom right is my favorite. Only because of the epic monster :D
This looks so amazing. I just love it!.. the two futuristic mock ups especially
@ui: Yeah, they may appear samish, but are in fact quite far apart in colorspace (it's actually saturation that differs the most). The gray is pretty much a cornerstone in the brightness range as well as working like a shade of blue. Bright-green is an archetype for vegetation etc. Mixing them would result in a plain gray and a palette without any distinct green. So, unless there's a color you'd rather have than bright green...
However I did consider making the green brighter still...but that would have made the distance to dark-green too big...and the only decent interpolating color (the greenish gray) is alredy quite close to the dark-green. It's very tricky; touch one thing and you offset almost everything else...this is the best I could come up with for now, but I'm still thinking...
finally a bright palette! XDDD... but still opaque! LUL still good palette and neat pixels :D....
A "critique" in you palette, check the light green and light gray/blue beside, they actually have nearly the same saturation. You could easly mix them into 1 color and have a new color having then 2 differents colors :X....
I remember playing AlienBreed series on my Amiga 1200 years ago, it was great game, and surely now it's classic. Also can remember Chaos Engine with close color choises.
I love that little guy with sword. *.* All of them are beautiful. I nearly can´t believe they are all done using the same palette.
Wow! nice use of the palette. The only thing that looks a little out of place to me, are those dark rocks on the first screen.
Great work. I'm always in need of improving my color selections so this is helpful to see.
srsly? i wanna know how you created that palette (*clicks forum article link*) ! great work, great colors!
your pallette work is rocket science to me...... ummm no.....i understand more of rocket science then how you did that pallette
Love These screens and your palette, the trees over lapping the rpg screen is a nice touch too fave
16 wisely chosen and wisely used colors for 4 great mockups. Great work !
This palette is fantastic, and I might end up stealing it completely while you're not looking.
Oops, did I say that out loud? O_O
Excellent work!
