First of all, I want to thank CELS, showtime, AirStyle and neofotistou for the help they gave me on the forums, making edits and giving tips. I really apreciate it!

As for the mockup, It was suposed to be some hell'ish game with a Spartan as the main character. And as you know, spartans prized for the beauty of the body, so that's why he's naked.

I wish I could have more time to work on this one, but I hope you enjoy it anyway!

Helm (Level 5 Detective) @ 10/17/2011 12:26

Do I need to be 18 or older for those ten pixels?

As a mockup, everything's antialiased. I would suggest clearing stuff out with outlines ans separating the palette of the main character, the enemy, and the background set.

Leg sizes are not equal, the pose is wooden a bit and flyswatted, but you're getting better. The helmet is not spartan but oh well.

mrduke (Level 2 Flatfoot) @ 9/12/2011 06:32

This should had be the winner in the challenge....i like it alot!

neofotistou (Level 5 Captain) @ 9/9/2011 17:56

Well what do you expect, you accept a girl's edit (lesbian by the way) and you get naked penises. What can you do...

Argyle (Level 5 Assistant Manager) @ 9/9/2011 00:57

I pegged this as a Big Brother piece until I gave it a second look, hah!

Love the blood splotch

SlowEmoticon (Level 1 Depressed) @ 9/8/2011 14:59

{Br} Muito bom cara! Adorei o uso das cores e pricipalmente as montanhas :D

Mathias (Level 5 Rokkyu) @ 9/7/2011 19:27

It did very well, but no junk in sight!

Adarias (Level 11 Special Agent) @ 9/7/2011 19:21

dude, animate something.  awesome as usual tho.

Mathias - 300 did pretty well.  Sweet style and blood = no homo

Mathias (Level 5 Rokkyu) @ 9/6/2011 21:48

A naked protagonist . . . I dunno. Seems it would alienate male players and turn away most girls.

And OY, actually animating chars with that much detail would be a chore.

But this isn't a proposed game design, just a fun mockup.

Sweet rocks.

Muiriled (Level 2 Flatfoot) @ 9/6/2011 18:46

 Great! voted.

QueenP (Level 1 Depressed) @ 9/6/2011 11:22

Delicious (Level 8 Regional Boss) @ 9/6/2011 00:27

Voted! :D

PureAwesomeness (Level 1 Rookie) @ 9/5/2011 20:28

This sure is an improvement from your first version! You should have added more video game elements, though. I wouldn't really be able to tell that it's a mockup if I didn't see the title of the challenge.

Hapiel (Level 11 Admiral) @ 9/5/2011 04:39

Well done, great improvement!
Finally we found something you can't do excellent yet: Action poses. However, you have already shown you learn extremely quick on this. Id love to see some more action poses in the future!

Des (Level 4 Lieutenant) @ 9/4/2011 20:28

Fichou show, menos pela parte deles estarem pelados hahaha...

Smilecythe (Level 5 Rokkyu) @ 9/4/2011 11:35

There must be a reason why there wasn't many games like that for SNES.

Mrmo Tarius (Level 10 Master Sniper) @ 9/3/2011 08:32

The AA can, in a real game, be a product of the way the game engine renders sprites. So, in a game-engine created screenshot, you could get similar results as in this hand-drawn scene :)

RiquePixel (Level 2 Dealer) @ 9/3/2011 08:21

Love it.

Jinn (Level 11 Godfather) @ 9/3/2011 06:39

I'm okay with cutting the AA and even make some itens in the sky, ground, whatever.
But I'm okay with the BG "emptyness" ;P

I'll see if I find some time tomorrow!

Thanks, guys! :)

showtime (Level 6 Made) @ 9/3/2011 05:49

Fancy, I'm really glad neofotistou made that edit for you.

King of Games (Level 1 Thug) @ 9/3/2011 03:34

This reminds me of Big Brother's Savage Land mockup.

1ucas (Level 5 Soldier) @ 9/3/2011 03:09

Strongly agree with Smilecythe. It lacks all the elements that make it look like a mockup, particularly the well defined sprites. The heavy use of anti-aliasing around sprites and on the place where the background meets the the ground rock tiles make it look too much like a fixed scene.

Technically, the piece is great. The colors are quite interesting.

CELS (Level 7 Sheriff) @ 9/3/2011 03:01

A big improvement from the original, as I see it. I like this piece, it has a very unusual atmosphere. I just wish you saw my post where I pointed out that the shield is upside-down :)

Smilecythe (Level 5 Rokkyu) @ 9/3/2011 02:57

I have no problems with this other than it looks more like a normal artwork than a mockup of a game screenshot. Have you thought would the AA in the sprites look okay with the rest of the background for instance?

Mrmo Tarius (Level 10 Master Sniper) @ 9/3/2011 02:42

OMG the pose is great now! I think that if this were a real game, any additional doodads would only distract the player.

SpaceSalmon (Level 1 Rookie) @ 9/3/2011 00:43

The backround volcanoes are amazing. Rest could have been better. Characters are too big take up too much of the screen. Foreground is unintresting.

Satsume (Level 10 Capo) @ 9/3/2011 00:07

amazing  Jinn,but i think it's a little empty,you can add more huds,or visible points or.. i don't know xD

cure (Level 11 Godfather) @ 9/2/2011 22:02

very reminiscent of bb's savage world. nice work, the pose is much better now (though I wish the airbourne spartan had a shadow on the ground beneath him)
