This should had be the winner in the challenge....i like it alot!
Well what do you expect, you accept a girl's edit (lesbian by the way) and you get naked penises. What can you do...
I pegged this as a Big Brother piece until I gave it a second look, hah!
Love the blood splotch
{Br} Muito bom cara! Adorei o uso das cores e pricipalmente as montanhas :D
dude, animate something. awesome as usual tho.
Mathias - 300 did pretty well. Sweet style and blood = no homo
A naked protagonist . . . I dunno. Seems it would alienate male players and turn away most girls.
And OY, actually animating chars with that much detail would be a chore.
But this isn't a proposed game design, just a fun mockup.
Sweet rocks.
This sure is an improvement from your first version! You should have added more video game elements, though. I wouldn't really be able to tell that it's a mockup if I didn't see the title of the challenge.
Well done, great improvement!
Finally we found something you can't do excellent yet: Action poses. However, you have already shown you learn extremely quick on this. Id love to see some more action poses in the future!
Fichou show, menos pela parte deles estarem pelados hahaha...
There must be a reason why there wasn't many games like that for SNES.
The AA can, in a real game, be a product of the way the game engine renders sprites. So, in a game-engine created screenshot, you could get similar results as in this hand-drawn scene :)
I'm okay with cutting the AA and even make some itens in the sky, ground, whatever.
But I'm okay with the BG "emptyness" ;P
I'll see if I find some time tomorrow!
Thanks, guys! :)
Strongly agree with Smilecythe. It lacks all the elements that make it look like a mockup, particularly the well defined sprites. The heavy use of anti-aliasing around sprites and on the place where the background meets the the ground rock tiles make it look too much like a fixed scene.
Technically, the piece is great. The colors are quite interesting.
A big improvement from the original, as I see it. I like this piece, it has a very unusual atmosphere. I just wish you saw my post where I pointed out that the shield is upside-down :)
I have no problems with this other than it looks more like a normal artwork than a mockup of a game screenshot. Have you thought would the AA in the sprites look okay with the rest of the background for instance?
OMG the pose is great now! I think that if this were a real game, any additional doodads would only distract the player.
The backround volcanoes are amazing. Rest could have been better. Characters are too big take up too much of the screen. Foreground is unintresting.
amazing Jinn,but i think it's a little empty,you can add more huds,or visible points or.. i don't know xD
very reminiscent of bb's savage world. nice work, the pose is much better now (though I wish the airbourne spartan had a shadow on the ground beneath him)
Do I need to be 18 or older for those ten pixels?
As a mockup, everything's antialiased. I would suggest clearing stuff out with outlines ans separating the palette of the main character, the enemy, and the background set.
Leg sizes are not equal, the pose is wooden a bit and flyswatted, but you're getting better. The helmet is not spartan but oh well.
