Thanks everyone! :D When I've finish my entry for this weeks challenge I'll have a go at animating this.
[Edit] And not a badly drawn cheapskate version. ;)
I could do it without any colors, by flailing my arms around and loudly describing how awesome a terminator is!!! :D
Nine colors.. HA! I could do the same with just three.. o_O
fav.
Judgedredd: How do those links support your statement? Considering this was referenced and those other pieces were not makes a huge difference. Also those are drawn fairly well, so I don't see how it proves his "inability to draw well". With the grid-method, I can imagine why some clusters are simular.
I drawn this as I described and not with a 'cheapskate method instead' as you put it, and if I could prove it I would.
Alright, you lost me. How is it again that the third link you posted proves his inability to draw well?
Anyhow, I guess when someone says your work is just too good to be yours, its actually just a hell of a compliment, isnt't it?
Love the metal texture, masterpiece.
actually, your picture does prove its a "redux and refine". A huge amount of pixelclusters are exactly the same, and there would be even more similarities if you fiddled about with the resize (Pixelknights seems to be squashed and some parts are a little bit nudged). And given thePixelknight's proven inability to draw well

I'd say this is most definitely not the grid method, but the cheapskate method instead. At the very least its traced as hell, and he'd never be able to produce work this good on his/her own. I'm reporting this.
hahaha hilarious Mathias! :D And shows how close I got it to the original picture! I drawn it in PSP 7 were I applied a grid to the picture and the same grid to the canvas I was drawing on. Then I just draw whats in the grid squares on the picture into the grid squares on canvas, if that makes sence. So it looks like I got it pretty accurate with hilarious 'disco' results. :D
Yeah the T1 is awesome.
And just so everyone knows you didn't redux and refine:
Everything moves around, which I think, proves it valid. Though, little to no creative license was taken; just a copy. But a good one.
Wow! 9 colors. It would be freaking cool even if there were 30 colors in this! You're a genius PK!
@ Mrmo Tarius It was 8 colours but then I realised I needed red for the eyes lol :D
@ DawnBringer Thanks! :) At first I wasn't sure if 8 / 9 colours would be enough, but it turned out better than expected :)
@ artistictiger I did try a lighter reds but didn't look right, so the red I used in the end was the sweet spot :)
And thanks everyone for the comments! :D
I was always fascinated with the Terminator design. Great work here!
Also, nine colors??! LIES!!! it can't be! O_O
Prime example of how a motif with specularities/contrast can negotiate a limited palette with impressive result.
seriously great work.. I cant even imagine how much effort it must have taken since i suck at making metallic stuff
Wow man! this is really nice! omg....Loving your work:)
Just a suggestion, but you could add some highlights to the eyes or shade them to look brighter, will make it look a little more menacing and cooler.;)..But maybe it's just me lol
I am very impressed. Your pixelling technique is improving at an alarming rate.
Wow, so you took a picture, plagiarized it, and fooled 59 suckers into faving it? Good job, mate.
I have nothing against inspiration, but taking a photo or an art piece and copying it IN MAD PIXELZ SKILLZ (not!) without the author's permission does not make it OK even if you put a link to the original in the description. I thought that one was obvious and appropriate steps would have been taken by the staff upon submission of this. I guess I was wrong. And people comment on how well you did the metallics... Jesus Christ, is this the Twilight Zone?!
