Pleasant style! Like CELS i thought the UFO was a sword. Maybe you could put black in the beam so that it wouldn't seem connected to the mountain?

I edited the colors to a single light.

It's a brilliant piece, but since the candle supposed to be the only light source, maybe you should flip the clouds around? Right now, the clouds, the close tree and the moon all suggest a light source on the far left. The candle doesn't seem to be casting any light.

I agree with CELS that the UFO looks like a sword, maybe if the beam was thinner people would see it more like a UFO. I'm not sure how you missed the part about having a candle, considering the fact that that's the whole challenge, but it's alright now.

I'm liking it, the feel is just great, and the beam of the sword UFO looks really neat.

Very sexy. Although I thought the UFO was a sword lodged into the ground. And it would probably be better to move the moon a bit, so the edge isn't nearly parallell with the mountain. It would be better to either move it away from the mountain, or let it be covered more.

I think the UFO is supposed to be a metaphorical candle. o_O
