See the problem is that non-violent protest against the US Government is about as effective as telling a raging forest fire that you disagree with it's foreign policy, and anything *else* does more harm than good for the cause at hand. There isn't much that can remedy a military quagmire like this besides a total economic collapse, which thankfully seems to be well at hand, so be patient.
