Is all up to you, although submitting them as pixelart, I do not suggest. That'll clutter up your gallery with something unfinished, you could post them in the forums if you like, not like anyone is going to get angry at you or anything.
Thanks, glad these little guys are going over so well, btw do you think I should post the base sprite (well maybe not the entire spritesheet for it but something like a standing pose like the characters I've posted are in) somewhere here (either forums somewhere or submitted as pixel art) or keep it hidden away on my harddrive?
yes, that is what I was reffering to. You've done a great job here!
when you say thick you're referring to the upper areas of the helm and a few other spots on the armour right? thats because when I went back to reduce the number of colours used I tried using black as both an outline colour (cuz it looks good with these sprites) and as part of the shading, I can easily remedy that but I think I agree, it does give it a "hand drawn" look and I like it like that :) Thanks
I like them, I like them a lot, very good looking, the sword looks great! The outlines, although unusually thick, work well and give themselfes a "hand drawn" effect, keep it up!
That sounds like a good idea, my biggest issue with the sprite is that it looks fine facing to the right, but if you flip it, something just looks off about it, could be that with this sprite style in particular you need a seperate shading pattern for each direction, perhaps... I'll post it on the forums soon though
