Obscured by other edibles, he laid in wait. Had it been weeks? Months? The stew didn't know. There were flashes of light sometimes, but no one ever came for him. He'd been in this cold, unforgiving place for so long that nobody even remembered his existence. He's in there, still. Watching. Waiting.
