I agree with Sooba. It looks like this was intended for a bright background, so I think it'd be better to display it against that instead of the transparency.
I really really like this, but the noisey pixels around the lineart are keeping me from loving it. I'm refering to the bright pixels that pop out around the head/ears and bottoms of the knees. I also see a single bright yellow pixel on his left side.
Get those and it'll be perfect.
It almost looks like an early 3D model with untextured, flat-shaded polygons (like Virtua Fighter). Except this sprite has the most voluptuous knees I've ever seen.
The shading style is incredibly stylized and eye-popping. Your anti-aliasing is also smooth and seamless except for the odd bright pixels on the bottom of the leg and the edges of the ears. I think those bright pixels could be turned into dark anti-aliasing instead. Gonna fave this so I can study the color scheme a bit more later.
