I do know I have soda in my fridge, and that I think of beverages as well when I think of food. And of course, that's what food is.
In the context of this challenge, especially given the keywords 'leftovers', 'fridge', and the example of 'casserole', it's pretty clear that 'solid nourishment' is the definition of food that we're going by (it's also the common and assumed usage of the word. check the wikipedia article on food, or google 'food', and that's what you'll find). So food, not drinks, is what we're looking for. Nice piece, just not right for this challenge.
If 'nourishment' is your definition of food, then fertilizer, sunlight, and vitamins are all 'food' as well. I have a feeling those aren't what pop into your mind when you hear the word 'food', though.
a drink can also be considered a food. a source of nourishment
I consider soda as part of a non-healthy food habit to be honest.
I'm not going to debate semantics here, that isn't what the comments section of a piece is for. You can send a PM if you want to argue that beverages are food.
As for the piece: the AA around the eye confuses me a bit. you could probably add some AA to the iris to make it less 'diamond' shaped. I don't know if the noise and stripes on the can are adding anything to the piece, maybe you could replace that with a logo of some sort?
