Thanks for your comment, CELS. Actually, I considered using the colours the way you describe, but I had the feeling the "almost-black" dark green colour was too strong in the picture that way.

PixelJoint is getting very classy lately, with all the Munch, Van Gogh and Picasso pixel art :)

Great work with this. Personally, I would have swapped the colors around so that the cracks in the floor are darker rather than brighter than the wood.
