META4 SPRITE PROMO!

I felt like putting something on my wall. Im pretty satisfied with the clean look so far. I will use this with my game demo if I'd have to and give it that "face" later on when I know what I want.. Walking animation has been worked on (as some on the forums may have noticed). The walk right now is pretty good but will have to perfect it like this one to be worth uploading it in my gallery.

Im not too much of a "I only used x amount of colours, but concider me more a.. " looks good.. ..dude...."

PJSpecs says;

Color count  55 (edit: seems to be 22 now)
54 opaque, 1 trans, 0 partially trans.

Thats true, and infact I did felt guilty / stupid buit learned alot from it and moved on. My apologees. by the way the lightning of the laser is really cool.

I was trying to work from off from that and totally change it like you mentioned the colours and so. A friend of mine really likes battletech but I ended up not going 100% battletech.

Again probably my biggest blunder and should have removed the post long time ago. I came from 5% pixel experience from years and years back and was hoping to get concept art done easily but it didnt pay off and now it only pays off the wrong way.

I was doing the wrong thing. I didnt find it here I googled mech and it showed up never seen a profile or name. Glad we meet though.

Ive now updated the post up at the WIP forum with a link to your picture and the same explaination as I have mentioned here.

Dude, your post www.pixeljoint.com/forum/forum_posts.asp Posted: 26 August 2011 at 5:55am made me laugh. The picture is taken from my old piece www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/44537.htm and a bit resized. You haven't even recoloured it or overworked details! )) But I haven't found links to my piece or credits to me in your posts, moreover you say "Doing the windows is a pain tho.")))

Shame on you. )

The Battletech pictogramm you've taken frome the same pic.

I'm not against of using elements of my pieces, but you have to ask permission first or at least give links and credits.

@Jalonso: I bet! This thing has been driving me nuts but slowly getting where I want to be.

@ Frost: Thanks! I didnt know what people would say when they'd see it (been working on it so much!) but it seems theres people that understand and / or like the same style that I'm after here.Good thing about the organicness, I mean.. Ive been thinking about making the 2 things on the side a bit rounder but so far didnt get any cool result.

@ Sanfrouah: Thanks! Unusual style from unusual artists

@Balamoot: I didnt post the complete version because I dont have any cool guns yet. Its just a "naked skin" and altough I have refered to some battletech and such it was not meant to be a battletech game (plus I bet I'd get my ass sued for making a game without paying rights etc). Its supposed to end up a bit cartoony.  If you visit the WIP forum you will see Ive made battletechish stuff aswell as this model has some guns and window. It wasnt 100% what I'm after (so I'm still looking for what I'm after)

Some details are still missing bit.ly/nJffxl . Why didn't you post the complete version?

Is your game going to be connected with the Battletech galaxy?

Nice robot, really unusual style!

hahahahaha. It's soooooooooo impressive.  My only crit is that the upper portion looks less organic and more "standard mech like" than the lower

Some women have had less trouble giving birth XD

hey Dawn I updated the image but it must have had something to do with photoshop errors with colours or something. I didnt expect to have used 55 anyways. it didnt make sence.

Thanks for the quick reactions! Concider this the naked design lika a regular human sprite would have.

New ideas are up on the go (deployable guns by letting a part extend from the sides (gun would face up and fall down while extending).

Well, eh...there's only 21 colors now...did you update the image?

You did a good job. I can tell it's the vulture (mad dog in the old days) xD. However, 55 colors seems like a lot!?  You could probably easily use only 16 max.
