Sir Hamilton served lord Harrison in Oakmere Castle until lord Harrison was assassinated. Sir Hamilton then set of to find a new lord, one who didn’t execute anybody who ate cheese. It was he who started this adventure.

(mage) Hyman the Great
 Nobody knows how only Hyman the Great is. He is certainly very ancient. But for all his age, he is formidable in battle. He met sir Hamilton when Hamilton upset his coracle on the Severn, in Wales. Sir Hamilton was looking for a new lord, and Hyman the Great had offered to take him to lord Farnell. On the way, however, they were attacked in a cave…

(inventor) Professor Max
Although weak in battle, the Professor is unmatchable in intellect. Not even Hyman the Great can outwit him. When Hyman the Great and Sir Hamilton were attacked in the cave, the Professor arrived just on time to save them. Afterward, he agreed to come with them. A few say he isn’t as clever as he seems; many say he just came from the future; but nobody has ever asked him.

(thief) Major Tooke
Major Tooke once served in the royal guards, and was decorated for his bravery. But after all the credit for his work went to one of his senior officers, he decided to make him pay for it. When he was discovered stealing the officer’s gold, he was court marshalled, and was sentenced to death. The party rescued him from the gallows minutes before the executioner arrived. He has repaid that debt many times.
