Nicely done :D (although "pretty close to actual size" is quite the overstatement, it's about 30% larger than a real one)
I only have one American game boy cart but it looks like since the serial for each game is unique, this one must be for Mario Land isn't it? (edit: whoops I shoulda read your comment first lawl)
I think the DMG-ML-USA serial should be facing outward though.
Other than that, great attention to detail especially the top right ridge that isn't a sharp corner but is actually slightly rounded off instead. Great job on the look of the font as well!
It just takes practice. True story : p I'm not good either. And yeah, do whatever you want
Well, i'm not THAT good at pixel art, but could i possibly add like a sticker-logo (like the old days) on it?
Aww, it's nothing special really. It could and should be much better. If you'd like, you can use my version as a starting grounds and then try to improve on it with your own better version.
Thanks :) I did my best to fix the lettering, and tweaked a few more things.
Part of your practice should be submitting work to the gallery, or at least the WIP forum! There is no better way to learn than that!
I think this piece is really nice and clean, and the only little nitpick I have that there is a small amount of banding on some of the letters. Good job! I think you should definitely design some cover art for this, regardless of your self-assessed lack of "skill," and post it in the WIP forum at least. :D
I still have all of my work in a special folder! I was just kind of embarrassed with how long I spent on each with how they turned out. I've been practice drawing with a pencil, and things I really don't understand like shading and 3D perspectives etc. Hopefully eventually I'll be back and much better :p
I just really need to get some basic art principles down before I really get into this. I do really love this art medium
This is nice, but why the heck did you delete the rest of your gallery D:? Its a great way to track prograss even thouhg you may not like it
I really like the subtle bevel on the “Nintendo GameBoy” type :)
