Supposed to be members of the RPG party for the weekly challenge, but they didn't fit the style of the other heroes, so I did not include them. Since I quite like them and I spent time on them , I decided to post them separatly.

the dwarf is pretty awesome, the griffin honestly looks like some kind of bearded gremline. I don't think your problem is with detail, but with definition. Things this size can only contain so many opposing shapes, which is why you have to use less pixels and high contrast to suggest things rather than show things

well, I suppose I spent to much time with a 800% zoom on it, so it was pretty clear in my mind. The left one is a griffon, and the ight one is a dwarven inventor. Apparenntly, not using them was a wise choice.

Readability is next to impossible, I don't even see what the left one is. A lot of the colours blend.
