It'd be best to save the updates till after the challenge, since part of the challenge is creating the piece within the challenge week.
Very nice update btw, particularly the sky
omg, you improved this DRASTICALLY!!! Those building lights and sky are amazing. But still... I do not understand why the back of his neck is interrupted with those 4 white diagonal pixels.
This piece is now just fucking awesome. Should be thaught in classes. Not to mention my favorite in this week's challenge by far.
I lol'd at the hidden pac-man. See if you guys can find him!
Absolutely love that new sky.
Buildings look a bit noisy now though.
@ DawnBringer: Thanks for the advice, I saw what you mean, I've removed most of bright-blue from BG, that we can see the clown. If only I could understand colors like you.
I've made lot of modifications in fact, hope it's not to much breaking challenge rules, I've done it more for myself (trying to hate this less) than for any rebbon. Apart from that, I don't want to put an apple in it because the only restriction was using Apple II palette (and if I have to put a logo it will be Commodore or Atari ^^) but you can see Pacman, Pacgums and a Ghost if you find it.
Why don't you try remapping the background with darker colors, right now he kinda downs in the bright-blue & magenta. Nice dithering :)
@xodblux: Or and apple-shaped moon :)
The shading technique came out beautiful. Great job on this piece. Love the atmosphere surrounding aswell, but I agree with others that the clown/city don't go good together.
I agree with snowk. I really like the clown by himself, and I love the city by itself and think both could be separate pieces, but together the two kinda hinder each other.
I think the styles are a bit clashing here. but its pretty nice.
l really like the uncommon dithering pattern that you used. You know, I've just got the idea that you could have added a sky light beam that project an apple sign, like in Gotham city and the batman sign... My two cents :o)
Good to see you're still around, Thug! I like the style of the clown in the foreground. The background is a bit bland compared to it :)
whoa... I didn't see this one coming. amazing stuff here.
I like his chin, not in a mean way am I saying this, but it looks like whipped cream coming out of someone's behind :) Really cool great dithering, nice colors and the sky is magnificent, weel played, you shouldv'e won though.
