Oh duh, I meant the right. Sorry!
But again, great pixelling. :)
The fact that they're both Majins, yes I did. That's why she still have white pants and that yellow buckle/emblem thing.
The Beast is on the right and she's meant to be hunched over. I honestly don't see her leaning backwards. I will say that the hunch is intentional to emphasis the fact that she's turning into a monster. Thanks for the crit Kravvon.
Oh, yeah, I wasn't referring to the forum here. i haven't even visited it to be honest. Oh I see where you're coming from but the style of spriting I use is LSW. Which is notorious for the spriting community to despise for the reason alone. It's always had the massive head and small body. Thanks for the crit Lazer.
Very well done sprites! The only crit I can give is to say that the one on the left (the 'beast') seems to be leaning backwards, and the fact that there's a tail in there makes it even worse. I think shifting her right leg back some would help give the pose more balance.
Thread seems not to be in PJ WIP, so can't tell what exactly others pointed out. I understand the construction of her clothes, they of couse affect the perception, but you detailed figure enough to not make them sole indicator. For example change of curve and shadow show the waistline well. But even then compared to the right figure: in right figure legs are bigger compared to body, and head while is the same size, is compensated by bigger body and it leads to proportions closer to human, naturally more pleasing to the eye. Arms seem to be longer, but it is not so evident because legs are longer too. There is a reason that chibi/super deformed characters with big heads are fat - it's to balance the sizes of their heads. With big head and thin body and small hands and feet it looks strange.
If it is intended for isometric view there may be a little distortion due to perspective, but not too noticeable.
Really everything what is intended should be said via drawing.
Again, cool technique and colors.
Thanks Lazer. I know what you are talking about but there is a reason for the 'off' proportions.
Copy & pasted from my responce on a forum: Her legs are technically the right height. Since none of you guys have actually seen the initial sketch of her, I shall explain. Her pants are incredibly low. The top of the Majin buckle/emblem/thing is just barely covers her lady parts. If you want to know where her lower body begins, it starts three pixels above the Majin emblem thing.
Hope that helps.
Great rendering, but beast has better proportions than the beauty.
Ah yes :P
Perhaps I should read the description a bit better nextime.
