When I first started pixel art I didn't even know what AA was, and I think you are going about learning in the absolute correct way. To me, it is more important to have good, clean shapes and lines before worrying about AA, and I think you have done well on that here.

 Oh yes, of all the ones posted here so far I'm least happy with this one. I'm now trying to learn a little about AA from staring at people's art and reading tutorials and will probably try to apply it to my next one.

There's still so much to learn, but I took on this challenge willingly and I aim to get better at it :D I'm very thankful for the feedback and will try to learn from it :)

 The lineart is clean, but I think it would look better without the thick purple outlines. I realize this is a stylistic choice but used here and without anti-aliasing it gives the appearance of banding in some areas. It's a cute little animal though. :)
