The shades in the leaves look pillowhaded, but you got the shape and area of the shading right. You seem to have outlined each shaded portion with a lighter color, which gives a blurring effect.
they don't look like lights because they aren't acting as light sources upon the tree.
I wanted to try some idea for "streetlight" ... there shouldn't be regular lights ... the walls of the houses will give some light and the rest sould be integrated into the environment, too. I thought why not sing some neonlight tubes and put them onto trees ... the trees are there anyway ;)! Might be a weird idea ... and I am actually very new to pixelarts to I don't know if I will be able to make it obvious that this shall be lighttubs ... ;( the shine of lights is something I find so hard to do -.- ...
Thank you very much! Please don't hasitate to tell me if you've got any advices on how to improove it :)))!
@ cure: Thank you, from time to time it's the obvious -.- ... I don't know why I was able to miss something like that ... hell you guys must think I am stupid! I realy didn't thing of that. Thank you so much!
@bobowitz: So when I was told "how to do pixelarts" the most important thing was handling the pillowshading ... is it negativ to do it that way? I am a bit confused ... I will have to take a close look at it again ...
