Right side yes. Left side stroked then cleaned.

MyO (Level 1 Rookie) @ 10/27/2011 00:11

How did you create it? Just pixel by pixel?

Loonybin (Level 1 Rookie) @ 10/24/2011 08:46

Really realistic space

I'm a sucker for nerdish stuff =)

I wish the 'probe' was a bit more obvious, for both concept and art readability.

I'm not sure if it's intended or not, but I think it would look better if you smoothened the transition between the red and blue halves. The outer space effect is well-done, though!

EDIT: I am a moron and I didn't realize it was for th weekly challenge! My comment about the transition isn't that relevant in this case.

Chibiwing (Level 4 Deputy) @ 10/24/2011 00:38

I thought, in terms of stars, that blues were hotter than reds and yellows?

Very pretty!

Black holes/wormholes are considered time machines, right?  Maybe that's what the thing in the center can be.

sasuke91 (Level 2 Kukyu) @ 10/24/2011 00:25

pretty pretty!

surt (Level 11 Godfather) @ 10/24/2011 00:20

Not intentionally. Not sure which would be expanding faster so chances are it wouldn't fit anyway.

Just red = hot, blue = cold; and white dwarves are generally depicted with a bluish flare so red for the coalescing and annihilating hadrons should be a good counter.

jeremy (Level 11 Special Agent) @ 10/23/2011 23:40

idgi. Is it anything to do with red/blue shifts?

surt (Level 11 Godfather) @ 10/23/2011 23:02

Pretty much, but I was going for a Fresnel reflection type effect, which as you can see didn't really work.

CELS (Level 7 Sheriff) @ 10/23/2011 19:39

I like it a lot. But is the probe supposed to look like a black pearl, reflecting its environment? If so, it's not quite working for me. It just looked like a warped black hole in the middle, untill I zoomed in. Never the less, it's great stuff.
