I've updated this on 01/06/2012. There are 61 colours, some might still be really close due to my wacom intous 3 changing my preferences every time I conect it. I never used to have this problem on my old laptop with windows xp. If you see something that stands out let me know and I'll get to it asap.
Next time, use an index based drawing program, such as the great GrafX2, that will keep you from having duplicate colors :D
You are right, my graphics tablet has a habit of changing my preferences. Can be a bit of a pain, there should be roughly 20 colours, I say roughly because I didn't keep count of my colour usage and in the end just used an algorithm to get rid of colours that where to similar. Toning it down would mean I'd have to go find every stray colour and remove it, and I don't have that time ;(
Well, it is a bit of a problem, because there are not 32 colors visible.. you must have made some color mistakes somewhere ;)
really? oh really. I'll fix that, 16, 32, 64 its all the same to me :P wasn't concentrating.
Woow, you say 16 but the color counter counts 32 colors!! o.O
Hey. Thanks for the comment. No really, More critique in your one post than I've got on pixelation.
I got a bit demotivated in the end and just left the textures and flaws as they were. But I'll have them fixed up by thursday (going out tommorrow and the day after).
Great potential, looks good but unfinished.
Some pointers:
The light source isn't very well defined. I'd recommend a strict contrasted top-down light like this from here, off-topic subject matter ;)
The dragon's pose is unbalanced: he's leaning far out from the rock but the (supposedly) muscular tail looks all slack when it should be holding him.
The flat color and outline of the shaded part of the tail is weird.
The face lacks readability.
The rocks could use more sexy textures.
Make him look good and he might spare you XD
Definitely better.
