@ surt that makes perfect sence from an animation standpoint, because when you run you mave your leg back in order to propell yourself foreward.

Very nice.
The motion blur on his rear foot doesn't make much sense. It indicates that the foot is moving backwards.
Digging the style and the colours, but everything looks a bit.. soft for me. It's most likely the banding cure pointed out that is causing this. Things look like they don't belong, such as the grass and the dirt to the left. Some polishing in that area, perhaps.
Apart from the banding, I do love the background though. Sonic? Never cared for his design, but you did a very good job on it.

This is just amazing, I love it. Everything except the plain box, it doesn't need much, just a litle texture here and there, then it would be perfect. :D
this is a really great piece, and I think with one extra level of pixel-polish, it'd be near-perfect. right now there's a lot of banding in the leaves. a little push-and-pull with your clusters and they'd be that much crisper.

I made this picture with a bit of hurry because i am doing a kind of activity for musicians, about doing a remake of 8 bits music. This is the second round, the winner of the first one choosed to made a remake of sonic. Thats why i made this mockup, to give them inspiration. I gonna do many mockups like this one based on old videogames (such master system games or nintendo games).
The first round was about alex kidd. There in my profile you can see a direct link to my blog... I am sorry if is in spanish, but there you can listen the alex kidd's music remake.

I'm not a sonic fan, heck I hate remakes that arent original. It took a lot for me to even click on the preview image, and even so I only looked at it because of how far up it was in the weekly showcase. My impression, if sonic looked half as good as this I'd play it.
Love it! My only nitpick would be that everything is so beatifully textured and vibrant but that "box" thing (under the rings) ... it just kind of stands out and almost looks unfinished.
I played Sonic WAY back in the day (and not really since) so that might be how it's supposed to be, it just looked off to me!
Either way GREAT piece! Makes me want to play some Sonic!
Would be awesome to have an entire sonic game with these graphics!
The saturation is noticable, but in a good way, it doesn't seem oversaturated, but just vibrant enough to keep the eye entertained. The wood texture is lovely, not to mention the leaves. Excelent piece, no noticable techincal flaws really.
