I have to say I really like the color scheme I used, It looks very autumny. Pixel art is really fun! I'm just a beginner but I know I'll keep improving!

Thank you so much for this helpful critique! I especially like your changes of the grass. Next time I begin something I will read this over again and it will hopefully help me :D

I appreciate you taking your time to help a novice.

Nice job =)
Good of you to avoid the usual plain flashy oranges. Good work also on the shading and highlights.

Here's an edit to show a few pointers:

First, some contrast and a bit of saturation. Then shifting of the colors: darker, redder and more saturated dark browns, less saturated and more yellow greens for the stems which looked unnaturally green, similar shifts in the grass greens.
Spread the highlights (small point speculars mean glossy stuff; maybe I made them too strong, looks more like tomatoes now ;)
Enhanced ground shadows (very important for things to feel resting heavily on the ground) reusing the stem colors (important for color unity in the piece).

Grass is where you were least successful (it's never easy!), it's noisy and the wrong color. It's pointless to fill the whole frame with blades of grass, instead you can achieve better looks and depth and composition by concentrating on a few foreground well-defined blades (I only did that on the right side) then leaving open patches with less detail the further back.
Adding wider shadows in the bg corners allows to focus the composition towards the center while helping with the grass texture, thanks to a slight bit of dithering.

Hope this helps. Keep'em coming! =)
