The water reminds me of Super Mario 3. Other than that, good job!
A lot of good technique, but it's definitely a clash of styles. The clouds remind me of old Sega Games (like Alex Kidd) while the trees and mushrooms have a completely different style.
This looks great, I love the style. Personally I think a sonic game in this style would look great.
but um, not sure if it would be called banding, but both the ladder rungs offset down the very center.
If you talk about sonic or mario of NES or sega Master system, ok, but if you are talking about 16 bits platformer game, i still think you did it pretty good.
Great job, but I guess it could use just a little bit of saturation. It's not a fail it's a win :)
It's a failed experiment because the intent was for a clean and simple console platformer style (think Sonic or Mario) instead I got carried away with my usual process of premature colour consolidation and burying every available pixel in noise.
Very nice job. I dont understand why you say that is a failed experiment, i think is much better than most of 2d plataformer games of now days (mostly they are vector art). Vector art sucks, we have to keep pixel art alive with pieces like this one :P
Looking nice surt, also I approve of OpenGameArt
I like the big beefy branches on those large trees.
I like this piece minus the water and background.
