here's an edit. I'd also suggest reading the 'pixel clusters' section of helm's Ramblethread. the section on banding might also be useful.
in addition to removing most of the dithering (as well as the banding), I also adjust the colors to get a wider range of contrast. I added a near-white for specular highlights (especially useful for metal). and I tried to integrate the black outline into the piece a bit more. I also used a color from the pants for a highlight on the face, adjusting the color a bit so it works well for both areas. and I just noticed that those are small tusks, so feel free to ignore the teeth edit.

linework is nice, but the dithering is killing it, would look much better/smoother with no dithering at all. preview is pretty lame too, I almost didn't click because of it.
