Originally the background was much brighter, so I placed a layer of shade over it in its entirety , as it didn’t make sense that he’d try to escape in broad daylight, and it also helped to create contrast between him and the background. But thanks for the input.

the pose and lineart is good :) but the colors are quite boring and dull and could get rid of the banding
