A running cycle for the heroine of a game I'm currently working on.
Used NES palette and NES restrictions. However, it would use to much sprites for a "real" NES game I guess. 10 Frames.
Woah very good! Way the hell better than the run cycle I made for the parallax window contest.. but similar in size etc. that's the only reason I mention that. More range of motion on the arms; that's mainly what makes it more complete.
Incredible run cycle! I'd argue that it could work just fine, but I think you're right, especially if there's any overlapping sprites.
My main concern is the sprite looks fairly rough, mostly in the colouring, although it's perfectly readable, it seems like it could use some clean-up. As far as the animation quality goes, it's really well done and I have no complaints.
