I really like the way you coloured it, both shading and palette
*And froglegs don't seem to be that tasty at first glance lol *o* *
Hmm work is no source of stress for me. I look to it as a challenge that I really enjoy. My Job is all I have. The way I deal with stress, is to weigh its worth in my life, then make a desicion of either making that situation better, or simply looking the situation right in the eye and remove myself from that situation. My tolerance level for stress in my life is very very short. Would have to be something very speacial to me to let it continue for very long. I am a fighter. All my life I have been able to scrap my way out of any situation. No matter how difficult of a struggle it is, or how long it takes me to get through shit. I always fight for what I believe in and the people I Love. No matter how hard the hits I take are. My life may be shit to some but its mine, and I aim to make the most of it each and every day 0.- .
you'll get to it, when the time is right. When the brain is occupied with too much stuff concentrating on art can be hard sometimes, eventho its sometimes really helpfull to do art to get some distraction from stress. Wish you good luck, and better times to come ^.^
yes. would be nice to learn to be artistic. I reserve most of my brain powers for mastering all aspects of my job, so one day I will be the big boss, with out being an asskiss of course. When I was a kid in School I was good. Had some money offered for some of my works from Highschool. Also some put on temporary display at an art exhibit. But I was 15 years old and on my own and life happened. have tried very hard to be creative again but i have just one peice recent that I actually like. The rest is garbage. really sucks not being able to do even half the things I used to be able to do. I have always wanted to get back into metal contemporary art.
Well its never too late to learn ^.- Since you say you enjoy art.. and no there's master without some practice and learning :)
In the PJ Forum you will allways find people willing to help you improve and learn. There's an extra WIP (Work in Progress) Threat. For such things. And under links you find tutorials and more helpfull stuff. Unless you really don't feel like i'd say give it a try :]
hah. Well I saw, and thought your little concept was really catchy. I tried today to do some pixel art on my own. Probably best I stay in the spectator zone. I am not very artistic but I really Enjoy art.
figured that you didnt know these things, therefore i posted the link and explained it a bit.
For this piece? appr. 5 hours, in and out. Until i was happy with the result :]
Oh I C. Very clever idea you have in this one. Sorry I am new here. have not had a chance to navigate the site much. A friend showed me this site. I know nothing about pixel art. Just know I always wanted to shoot the dog on nes' duckhunt everytime he laughed at me for missing a lot of shots. =).
How long this take you to do?
Thx :]
for the comment about the lighter colors: this was a weekly challenge with a "fix color-palette" with 16 pre-defined colors. So nothing we could change or add on those. The target was a) to fill that country shape (in this case here: france) and b) make the best we can with those given 16 colors.
If it interests you here are the exact specs for this former challenge: www.pixeljoint.com/2011/11/21/3634/Pixel_Art_Challenge-_Hidden_in_Geography.htm
Exelent! Looks Yummy. Maybe if one would eat this one they would start to see strange things. Maybe the white accents in the foliage could be a lighter almost white shade of green.
Very impressive! The perspective looks like it was awkward to work with, and the colour usage is amazing!
Dude, this is an awesome piece! Don't know how I missed this. Excellent use of the palette bro!
I love it, the colors used are great and it really looks..infected, nice one,
Oooh! I love it! I have a feeling the tiny rocks could use some shading but the rest is very pleasing to the eye.
