Very interesting colors here. Makes for an awesome cover, indeed.
The circuites in the tree are represented well IMO. My only confusion is that I almost feel as if a face was hinted upon within the bark of the tree, yet when I zoom in I'm not so sure. Please tell me; is there an obscure face at the base of the tree...?
Oh...and I'll definately be looking for this album. There just aint enough of these types of beats IMO.
Yes, the song is the album's title track, "roots." Glad you enjoyed the video!
Thanks! But haha, check the page again! I believe the 100$ cost was sort of a joke, until the actual release date of the album, december first (which is today!)
Thank you! For the background, what I was thinking at the time was to make a stark contrast between it and the bottom half. The problem may be that the contrast isnt stark enough to make it look deliberate. A flat color for the back sounded like it would have been too much at the time, but maybe It would have been better. Or maybe putting just as much detail in the sky and horizon and scrapping the contrast idea altogether, and make it just nuts with detail all over, which would be a lot more fun hehe.
Thanks! The lines are bits of the circuits from the roots extending through the tree. Maybe I should have went with blue, but they might have been a bit too subtle.
A strange and beautiful picture. The background lacks the complexity of the roots. Those areas with pure blue is just too simple and draws attention to themselves.
The underground roots look fabulous! I didn't notice the album name hidden in there initially...
I don't get the white pixels lines in the tree, do you mind explaining what your goal was with them?
Enjoyed the WIP vid. Is that soundtrack from the album that this was created for? If not what was that track from?
Yay a frankiesmileshow pixel ^^
I love it, it's unique and creative :)
just think it would be better without the bg. anyway, really great piece and nice idea man...
I just could see the roots while watching the video, I think the roots without the green and blue things are better and the sky is not that good.
