I know that a high number of pixels can constitute a small change, I was just freaking out how you knew there were 620 :D but you explained it. Beautiful "offwhite" piece too
Thanks again guys! I'm really happy for all the support! I know the dithering is kinda fail, but we all gotta start somewhere :D
@Frost Butt: There are 620 pixels that are different from the previous picture. As I said there's surprisingly many pixels involved even with small changes. I harassed my husband into making a small program for me that comares every pixel in two images and reports the number of pixels that differ in color value. And I meant it mainly as a joke :P
@mixplix: :( I don't know what could be causing that. I've never seen such behaviour on pixeljoint.
@Kravvon Nar'roth: I was thinking of making the whole face too. Might be fun to make it into a (semi) realistic version of my avatar :D
I dont know if its my browser or what, but your sprites keep disappearing from their veiw boxes.
Got my vote. ;D I personally kinda like the way the eye bugs out a bit... it really lets you see the shape of the eyeball.
Some time you should draw the rest of the face too (and I'm only partially kidding). :)
Maybe a bit too dithered, but the overall piece looks reaaaaally nice. The shape is really well made.
Thanks a lot guys! :D
@Mrmo Tarius: I forgot to mention I used the same palette as my avatar. It started out as a test to see if it suited a naturalistic style. Then I got stubborn and didn't want to add any colours! XD
@Delicious: Yeah, I know :P I wanted to make make a suprised expression, but ended up making it look like her eye's popping out! I kept thinking, " I'll just work on the dithering a bit more, then I'll fix the iris". In the end I was to lazy to do anyting...
I like how well the surfaces are defined.
Also, you could have added... any number of colors in between and thus avoided the whole dihtering business :)
I guess that at 16 colors, everything would be smooth...
BUT! I respect the minimalistic approach! :D
Very good. The iris is really small though, atleast half the size it should be, but I would've never noticed if I didn't glance twice. Keep it up!
very nice!
