I just noticed the faces when I was coming back to rate everyones' entries, before I read the comments. The medium ships with the Mickey Mouse ear things at the back kind of remind me of the Deadmau5 symbol thing.
You have faces on nearly every ship; some have multiple faces.
Thanks. I had hoped it would have been something inexpensive/free. :P
I used Photoshop, was considering using Flash but deemed it too complicated for this purpose ;P
Good stuff!
I'd like to know, which tool are you using for the keyframe animation?
The 'faces' are completely unintentional. Haven't even noticed them before I read the comments :)
Are some of the ships smiling? I think I would have liked it even more if they weren't ;p
Anyway super job.
Every element is treated as a separate object, and every object's position is defined on a global timeline by 'keyframes'. And yeah, if the total frames required for an object to move a certain distance does not match with the number of pixels the object has to travel, it results in jerky movement ;/
What's keyframe animation? Is that why the bg movement is a bit jerky?
Great pixels anyway =)
Those are scary.. goofy faced weapons of mass destruction there.
Nope, I used keyframe animation. Frame by frame would be kinda hard :/
Nice one, although I'm not that fond on the angle of the ships.
By the way, did you animate that frame by frame?
I wonder what they're firing at.... Cause I'd hate to be that guy.
Well, kind of. I happily played with my tile-ships for some time, on a HUGE canvas, and after making like 30 of them, I noticed the TEENY TINY challenge canvas size restriction :(
So... I animated it, in an effort to show off a few more of those ships than it would have been possible on a static canvas :)
The hell?! =.= You made this thing epic on purpose didn't you?
Holy cow, that animation is so cool! I'd play this game ANYTIME.
Amazing.
