Wow, so much work in this! Really love the colours, lighting and detail.
Thanks for the comment big brother. There are always some littel things that can be improved (especially at humans I think), but I call this done for now. I guess I will better post a WIP in the forum next time to get some critique earlier
(And the eyes of the cat are supposed to be closed).
I love the contrast between the harsh electric blue lighting and the warm inside glow. The textures (fur, leather) are conveyed masterfully. It might be cool to see the outline integrated into the rendering more (with the lighting).
Nitpick: the zipper seems to dip too deeply between the breasts, like she's shrink wrapped in her clothing. Her right boob seems to be a different shape (judging mainly by the top curve) than her more natural-looking left one.
I'm not a big fan of her expression. The toothless smile, raised eyebrows, and crossed eyes read "mental handicap" to me. Not a bad thing, but I suspect you were going more for sexy.
Also, are the cat's eyes open or closed?
Great work overall!
@ TheInquisitor: Increased the size of the loose shoe a bit. And I actually increased the cat by 12 pixels. Thanks for critique.
@ Cyangmou: Thank you too. Did some minor changes to the face shading, I hope it's better now
Thank you for your comments!
@Christoballs: I did some changes now, based on your critique. But to the different shading: I did this, because I wanted that the gloves and shoes should look like an other material then the rest of the catsuit.
The technique, the materials are great. I wouldnt want to shade this myself. So huge.
Meow!
Excellent work! It's so elaborate and painterly, yet still subtly cartoonish; I like it.
rawr!!! That's all I got to say to this piece! Merry Christmas!!!
Like the composition, love the lighting. Great piece!
pretty nice work, the first impression is really good. Although if I am looking longer at it I can spot out some mistakes, some people already mentioned some of them. But I think that the biggest problem is that the face looks to flat compared to the very good rendered body and the style is also different (only the face, not the hair)
It's a good, demanding piece, but I think there are a few too many "little things" that stop it being great. It seems that most, if not all, have been addressed. The most significant of these is the size of the cat. I don't doubt that you can find small cats around, but for understanding purposes, I think you should make it bigger. Add, say, 6 or 7 pixels of size onto it.
I think her loose shoe is also a little small in comparison to her planted one.
Overall a great look with nice lights. But I agree with Christoballs points, esp, about the cat being too small...and jittery, it almost drowns in the thick outline (at this size a piece relies more on general composition than pixelplacement...but the cat is still so small that it could use some more pixellove ;)).., and maybe the tail could wrap around the leg? Still, a sweet looking piece! (who doesn't love a blue-sepia contrast?)
i really like the lighting, but there are a lot of things that bother me too: the size of the hands (her right one is considerably smaller than her left one), the shading on her left leg in comparison to the right leg, regarding the lightsource. i find the cat extremely small, even if a type of cat like this exists; its face isn't very cat-like, and i think you could change the proportions if you want to make it look like a kitten. i also think that if you kept the clean look of the right foot/shoe and the head and applied it to the rest of the body instead of leaving the noisy/banded shading, this would be on another scale of greatness! :)
Great, great work. Loving the colors and the lighting and how you managed to make all the folds and the clothes and the hair and everything look so realistic while still keeping that comic book style.
Small update online. (Increased the size of the right foot, added an arm shadow, unnessecary color removed.)
Thanks for critique.
Negative points:
Overall I like it anyway, good job :)
Thanks for the comments!
@Gecimen: Good point, maybe because I wanted to finish it to fast Well, I'll fix this soon.
We're seeing the rise of a new talent!
Why does that arm drop no shadow on the leg?
Awesome texture and lighting in pixel dude! Great use of colors man, congrulations
This is a marvellous work, and only 16 colors! Congrats, i bet it will have many fans soon!
Thank you. And I think you are right about the game, it was more the visual content that inspired me to do this. (Didn't played the game though, just heared about it).
Gorgeous work. I loathe Batman: Arkham City though (tedious and the characterization of certain characters such as Catwoman is cringeworthy and really shallow compared to how she should be when written by a great writer) but this pixel art is great.
God Damn! Ireally enjoy watching your art. They refresh my eyes. (Max points and Fav)
