In my opinion, this pic is finished enough to be plain awesome and full of meaning.

I enjoyed the contrast between the elaborated shading of the living plants area and the crude one from the dead forest

Strange atmosphere in this one... I like very much the idea of petrified trees!

Kind of reminds me of the end of Mononoke Hime.

I just had to try and turn this into something positive. The idea of ending the year of forests by drawing dead trees felt too depressing. Too bad I couldn't make the awsome picture I had in my mind

Pelette is interesting, but yeah it looks cruely unfinished. There's some banding on the trees and they need AA. Props to work on a plane, It does have a shaky feeling here and here :D
