well, in the actual game, of course, it would all be either greyscale or greenscale, so the red is just for show. I have tried it with other colors(including the gray this site uses), but none of them have the same impact that I was after, the contrast between greyscale and saturation.

I like combination of grey, white, black and red, but I think that the red here is much too glaring. It's a full rgb:255,0,0 red. It's best to stay away from super intense pure colors that only use a single color channel in rgb and especially if they max out that channel.
the red makes it hard to focus on the detail. As for the actual face, the nose seems kind of flat or am i looking at it wrong? Also his left cheek seems a bit flat as well.
