Since you added the bg, you should AA the outline too.

Agree about previous comments; also try to use the bg color somewhere in the sprite.

Just thought the same like DawnBringer. I would add a color between the grey and purple. Or maybe lighten the purple.

But nice overall, works better with the background.

But could you explain more on what shade you wanted me to add?

It's a pretty cool sprite, but the belly grey is a bit unfortunate color - with the default theme it looks like a hole/transparency. You could also use an intermediate shade between that grey and the darker colors.
