I agree, the only thing keeping me from 100% loving this is the flatness of the hair - throw some highlights in and you have a winner.  Great job.

Looks really good, but I'm not sure why it's animated with 1 blank background frame followed by the completed portrait.

the nose is much smaller and the eyes are much larger in the pixel. lacks a tad bit of cranium/hair volume, and the hair looks like its sitting flat against the head. her (photo) face is rounder as well.

not bad but doesn't feel finished.
