Just wow!!!, but maybe is a lil bit disaturated, well just my opinion
Delicious work.
My only complaints are that the crystals in the floaty rocks don't really look attached to the floaty rocks, and that if those plants are supposed to be background scenery they're far too bright for an actual game. Otherwise very, very pretty.
You've really come a long way man. I was just looking at some of your older stuff and found this one I posted on almost 6 years ago. http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/15696.htm ... You're a pro man.
what you say is cave story, what i see is contra. could just be the palette tho. Excellent work!
Thank you guys for the feedback. I'll keep working on this tileset, I have some ideas for more terrain types and doodads :P
Nice.
I like that although it obviously shares some ideas with the whole neo-retro cave-story/fez-spelunky look, it's legitimately breaking new ground there. Very good stuff.
Clouds are a little meh. Water is brilliant due to the perspective effect.
There's no rly much to say ... it's fantastic and that's all ;)
Love the colors, though I agree on it not being very tropical. DB's palette goes well with your style.
it doesn't seem very tropical... good work otherwise!
Why the rushed clouds and the rocks and pillars underwater end abruptly?
This is awesome, despite the "Cave Story again" vibe.
Clouds look rather bland/flat, and clusters of bushes looks clogged and lack readability...
Apart from that, rocks are fantastic, the front/back ground difference is nice, and the details are awesome. Love the floating islands; those tiles are wonderful, really !
personally think it would be better without the clouds. Anyway, awesome pixel
! And you say you cant draw rocks!
It might be the current screen I use, but the details are quite hard to see!
And as always fav <3
Love the idea of blue in the bushes, however, they do look a bit flat. This would look better if you brightened your darkest color on them when it nears the brighter leaves. The colors are very interesting. Great work!
Whoa...this is so incredible! The blue eyes on the floating rocks add a nice touch.
