I totally think its possible for you to finish that larger piece you posted in response to my comment earlier. this looks good, id really like to see the larger version. dont give up hope, im sure your instructor is right about working on bigger pieces...but just take it slow, do 1 section at a time. thats who i take on larger works even non-pixel related. ---- as far as pixel art though, you can just cut the whole image into a 10x10 grid, and slowly do each tile in the grid until all of the pieces are done.
I agree with Kaiseto, the grass on the rocks look very good. Nicely done! :)
(PS: I'm flattered you like my style. I just noticed the post! Means a lot coming from you! I always admired your work ever since I started pixeling)
This doesn't seem like a very exciting game :p
Lovely style though. I particularly like the transition from grass onto the stones.
Added more contrast to rocks, you can see a comparison here: http://i.imgur.com/sk6RI.png
The background in that pixel isn't mine, it's slyms, and yes, the creature is exactly what style I want.
I'm just trying to work on it and do better things with it, and stick with it, rather than doing a new style in every piece.
And I was going to do a bigger piece, but slym was right in saying that I'd probably never finish it. I need to spend more time on making things look good, rather then doing a lot of the same thing.
I don't want to be a jerk, but this looks really similar to your older work. www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/58995.htm
I still like this, it's great work. All I'm saying is if you're going for a new style, why not something dramaticallly different. Looks good though, I'd like to see a larger scale image. Lets see the rest of the pond!
This is looking nice, however, I think it's still lacking a bit more contrast (mostly on cliffs).
Looking great though :)
<3
The contrast looks perfect now!
The duckcave is cool, the bench looks nice... the grass is not too much empty... Is that a flower, in the right upper corner ? I admit I have trouble reading it...
Hope you'll do more, because it's getting more and more awesome each time. :)
the colors are so fantasctic, so warm and nice. that will be a grat style of yours.
This is really cute, and the colours are so vibrant, I love that ;)
I think the best part is the highlights in the ripples of the water and the transition from grass to rocks as well.
