//Edit: Reduced colours to 35 from 60
For a pixelling contest activity on the Quilting Bee site, it's been a long time since I last used PixelJoint, but I think I've changed a number of things in how I pixel since starting.
I've now taken into account hand picking all my colours, also dithering by hand, smooth outlines that are always 1px in width and I personally like to add a highlighted inner outline although I'm sure most here will advise against it ;P I'm aware I'm still not at the stage where I pick a pre-made palette or even count my colours, but at least the placement is a little more thought out, I hope. I think the left arm of the star is a little funny too but I think the thing I still struggle with a lot if the idea of pixels on an angle.
The size limits were 40px by 40px and 30kb max. Since I wanted the drip animation to loop I also tried to fade it out with a dithering effect to make up for there being no semi transparent pixels.
Not for free use or to be posted on other sites without my permission. Also my apologies if I take a long time to respond, or respond incorrectly, I'm still new to understanding this site. |
I think it looks fantastic, I've been looking for rainbow stuff on the site all night and this cupcake (surprisingly) is the best I've found other than CK's avatar.
I don't know why people would complain about it having too much color, this is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for!
