Yeah It's close to time for me to start experimenting with a new walk cycle technique
With this game you have to repeat frames though. It's a 5 frame cycle with 3 reapeating. At least it's not 3 frames like a lot of other SRPG from the time...

Walks look like shuffling, I guess because you repeated frames. Can't work that way

They are stubby so that makes them seem more stiff... if that isn't a lame excuse.
I would like to try something different eventually. I've done so many of these FFT sprites & and Tethical is a copy of that style...
Though I may have trouble with that. I do have some traditional animation walk cycles I've done; some really bad but couple ok that are in a different styles.

A little crit of these guys, and pretty much all your walk cycles - they're missing knees. Legs look short, stubby and jointless.
I missed that detail even though it says right there when you upload.
I got it below 10kb but had to trim it; a quick fix until I find a better way.
