The style reminds me of how Kiwinuptuo sprites trees; I wouldn't be shy about posting links to references/tutorials you used. Either way, the bark texture and depth of the leaves makes this tree look much better than the one used in Kiwinuptuo's tutorial. c:

 Good job! You did a fine job with this style. I would like to see a full mockup of this. Reminds me of a game I used to play, but I can't remember what it was called. You should definitely do more!

 the zoom blurs more often then not for me, this makes it alot easier to view at 2x. I like it. Only thing i can critique is that the purple headband thing seems like a waste of a colour and a bit out of place.
